The Rosenfield Fund’s mission is to promote social change through technological innovation and education. We operate a grantmaking program which aims to encourage and nurture community-serving higher education institutions and social impact-oriented entrepreneurial incubators.

In the early 1970s, together with neighbors and colleagues, Herb and Audrey had already established the Chambers-Canal Civic Association (CCCA) with the aim of maintaining the community vibrancy of the downtown area, following the construction of the World Trade Center.

Fund Directors

Herbert and Audrey’s children, Patricia, Thomas, and Nelson, serve as the Fund Directors and are committed to maintaining the founders’ vision. Toward that end, Patricia was elected to the BMCC Board of Directors in March 2019 and in March 2023 was elected as Vice Chair of the Board.
